COERR joins with eight dioceses, namely Bangkok, Chanthaburi, Ratchaburi, Chiang Mai, Nakhon Sawan, Ubon Ratchathani, Udon Thani, and Tharae-Nongsaeng to organize the Disaster Preparedness Training & Capacity Building Program which is  fully supported by Caritas Germany.   The main activity is providing Community-based Disaster Risk Management (CBDRM) Training to the target villages.  During March – July 2010, there were 1,890 people from 45 villages 16 provinces  passed the CBDRM Course.

In order to help the communities prevent hazards which might happen in their communities, the target villages get the equipments such as push-pull hand pump sprayers, community radio broadcasting equipments, dry chemical fire extinguisher hand operated siren, rain gauge etc.
